2011 Lincoln Navigator

2011 Lincoln Navigator
The 2011 Lincoln Navigator Luxury Large SUVs. The 2011 Lincoln Navigator gives buyers comfortable seats in all three rows, practical cargo space and a long list of high-tech standard features, but an underpowered engine leaves reviewers wanting more.

In a competitive class, the 2011 Lincoln Navigator is simply passed by its rivals. The Navigator is a good choice among Luxury Large SUVs, but offerings from Infiniti, Mercedes, Lexus and Cadillac are just better. Large SUVs like the Navigator are meant to go off road and tow heavy loads, as well as provide a large seating capacity.

Details: Lincoln Navigator
The Navigator was last redesigned in 2006. For 2011, changes to the Navigator are few.
Rear wheel drive is standard, while four wheel drive is a $3,000 option.
Several option packages are available for order; the Elite package include a touch screen DVD-based navigation system, a rear seat DVD entertainment system with an eight inch screen, a power moonroof, and a reverse camera system. The limited edition monochrome package features a unique chrome grille, ebony wood trim, and special interior trimmings, while a Premium Leather seating package is comprised of upgraded quality leather and contrasting stitching.

Exterior
The Navigator's most prominent feature is its grille. Standard capless fuel system
Standard rain-sensing wipers
Standard power liftgate
Standard 18-inch aluminum wheels; 20-inch chrome rims optional
There's a standard power-folding third-row seat.

Power-lowering running boards are standard, too. Interior features include:
Standard Sync voice-activated multimedia system
Standard backup camera
Standard heated second-row bucket seats
Standard Sirius Satellite Radio with 14-speaker audio system
Standard safety features include:
Electronic stability system with Roll Stability Control and trailer sway control
Side-impact airbags for front-seat occupants
Navigator L
Though similar in appearance to the regular Navigator, the long-wheelbase Navigator L is about 15 inches longer and provides 42.6 cubic feet of cargo space with all the seats in place — nearly 25 cubic feet more than the shorter model.

Like the Lincoln Navigator, the Navigator L is powered by a 5.4-liter V-8 that drives a six-speed automatic transmission. Rear- and four-wheel-drive models are offered, but the Navigator L's towing capacity of 8,700 pounds for the rear-wheel-drive model and 8,500 pounds for four-wheel-drive versions are both slightly lower than what the regular Navigator achieves.
