Captiva friends a lot for the exterior design since its launch in 2006, and recent changes with the unique design direction Chevrolet Captiva looks new goals and more athletic reflect. Four new powerful engine mated to a new manual or six-speed automatic proved Chevrolet Captiva deeper changes in the skin and helps reinforce the message that the new SUV Captiva offers a lot for the price.

The 163bhp engine, propels the Captiva from rest to 60 mph in 9.6 seconds with a maximum speed of 117 mph, whilst the 184bhp version achieves the sprint in 9.3 seconds with a top speed of 124 mph. Fuel consumption for the all- wheel drive 184bhp car is 42.8 mpg on the combined fuel cycle. The higher powered engine comes with four-wheel drive and the 163bhp 2.2-litre turbo diesel is available in front-wheel drive.

Driver's aids include Electronic Stability Control, Traction Control System and Braking Assist System whilst electronically controlled speed-sensitive steering is designed to permit more steering precision and less steering effort by the driver.
The four-wheel drive system distributes power between the front and rear wheels automatically, up to a ratio of 50:50 and in addition to detecting wheel spin, the system also senses engine speed, vehicle speed, yaw and steering angle. The all-wheel drive system is fully integrated into the ABS and ESC systems to increase control yet further.

There are two petrol engine options with 2400 cc, 4-cylinder, DOHC, 171 hp, and 3,000 cc, V6, direct injection, VVT, 258 hp. And the two diesel engine options; 2200 cc, 4-cylinder, turbo, 163 hp and 184 hp. Front-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive system is only available for Captiva 2.4 liters of diesel and gasoline.
