2012 Chevrolet Traverse : Review and equipment

Crossover SUV
2012 Chevrolet Traverse : Review and equipment. In recent months we have seen more pointers releases virtually all manufacturers, from whatever quarter. The large and rapid technological advances and the emergence of new rivals in the market, requires all houses to upgrade their cars and take other models of new preferences constantly to keep the interests of users. The American manufacturer, Chevrolet has released his latest project and SUV, the model called Traverse; SUVs aimed a catch up of premium rivals. Acquire fully renovated a few lines that suggest a new generation of Chevrolet.

The new Chevrolet Traverse is a crossover in every way, a utility to move a family in comfort. The interior and exterior elegance are the highlights of this new model, which aims to captivate those interested in purchasing one SUVs and out of the common of today's society. This is not a new model, as in 2008 and appreciated for the first time, then broke with the original lines of the brand, to revolutionize the segment. Now go back to change the aesthetic appearance also acquiring a breakthrough, more aggressive and elegant than the previous model, to convince more drivers.

With model release Traverse, Chevrolet shows that is active in all genres, as today we have spoken of the urban model, Chevrolet Sonic, which is also brand new.

Versions and equipment
when choosing our Traverse, we find that we have four different versions, configurable to our needs, each with its limitations, although the engine has in common. This time, we have used a gasoline engine V6 3.6l VTT.

With regard to the versions mentioned, first find the LS trim level called FWD, it incorporates the following standard features:
• Steel wheels 17 "
• Power-adjustable outside mirrors
• Premium cloth seats
• CD player
• Information Center for the driver
• Cruise Control

Then, we find 1LT FWD version also equip the items discussed below are added, and the respective changes:
• machined aluminum wheels 18 "
• Electric heated body color door mirrors with integrated blind spot mirrors and
• power driver's seat
• Leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls and cruise

Is then called 2LT FWD version, and as we can imagine, goes a step further than the previous version. The following equipment is that the form:
• Remote electric tailgate
• remote start system

Chevy Blazer 2005

Chevy Blazer 2005
The 2005 Chevrolet Blazer is offered in a two-door standard configuration as a base model Base-level Chevy Blazers have a standard features list that includes such things as air conditioning, cloth upholstery, front bucket seats, a center console, a split front bench seat, an AM/FM/CD player and more.

The low-riding Extreme model certainly lives up to its name. It features low-profile tires, five-spoke aluminum wheels, special Extreme budging, deep-tint windows and color-keyed body cladding.

The engine inside the 2005 Chevy Blazer is a 4.3-liter Vortec V6. An available Autotrac 4-wheel-drive system automatically shifts power to all four wheels. The Xtreme has a low stance, Z87 sport suspension and a heavy-duty trailer hitch to maximize paved street driving.

Prior to the announcement of the plants closure, GM was paring down staff as Chevy Blazer and Jimmy sales were dropping off. Well, as of October 2004, no Jimmy’s had been sold in the United States at all for the year, down from just 52 sold through October in 2003. Instead, the outgoing GMC had been sold in Canada, and still is, along with the Chevy Blazer. Reports cite the plants location, outside of the majority of supplier hubs, its age, GMs current eroding market share and a general economic slump as reasons behind the plant closure, emphasizing that the move was not a result of the quality or skill of the Linden workforce.
The Generals North American automotive operations lost $22 million.

The end of Chevy Blazer and Jimmy production will mean the end of a 35 year model run. Both models changed significantly since their 1975 introductions, initially based on shortened full-size pickup truck frames with removable fiberglass integrated rear roof sections. The original Chevy Blazer and Jimmy, often referred to by their K5 code name have become popular with off-road enthusiasts due to their tough, go anywhere 4x4 capability and large accommodating dimensions. The K5 models, which are now sold as the Chevy Tahoe and GMC Yukon, were joined by smaller, S10 compact pickup-based versions in 1983. An updated S15-based Blazer and Jimmy debuted in 1995, which continues virtually unchanged as today’s 2005 model.
GM announced no plans to replace the off-road capable models once production ended, but instead will count on the new car-based Chevy Equinox and upcoming Pontiac Torrent to deliver the sales numbers Blazer and Jimmy once enjoyed.

Go to www.chevrolet.com, click on SUVs, and then when the new page arrives scroll down to the bottom where an enticing last ditch effort to sell off the few remaining "Chevy Blazer" is underway. Even at the Employee Discount for Everyone price of $19,026.88, threes almost $3K missing from the discount.
My guess is, theres plenty of discount still available for those wanting to strike a deal on a new Chevy Blazer. Compared to the Equinox, Blazers drive like trucks, because they are based on truck platforms, and their interior refinement levels are, well, not refined.

Front side airbags are unavailable. An off-road-oriented ZR2 package features a high-riding suspension, larger tires, fortified chassis components, skid plates, tubular side steps, and front brush guard.

2012 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

The 2012 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 will almost certainly be a virtual carry-over of the 2011 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. Same goes for the 2012 GMC Sierra 1500,  Chevy Silverado’s near twin. General Motors is devoting much of its big-truck energy to launching the redesigned heavy-duty 2011 Silverado/Sierra 2500- and 3500-series models. Should you wait for the 2012 Chevrolet Silverado or buy a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado? The 2012 Silverado won’t change much, so buy a 2011 Silverado of you need a new full-size Chevy pickup in the near term. Attractive closeout deals on 2012 models will become available as Chevy clears inventory ahead of the all-new 2013 Silverado 1500.

Styling: The 2012 Silverado’s styling will stand pat, relying for one final year. If it continues to offer a gas-electric Silverado, the Hybrid would again lend its aerodynamic front fascia to the  Chevy Silverado 1500 XFE (Xtra Fuel Economy) model; both would probably continue only as crew cabs. That means the 2012 Silverado WT, LS, and LT models would get a basic design Chevy calls “pure pickup.” The 2012 Silverado’s V-6 would continue at 195 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque.

Chevy trucks in the past, including the current Chevy Silverado, tended to go the traditional route. The 2009 Chevy Silverado, with its stacked square headlights and wide, flat grille, looks like the Chevy pickups of the '90s, the '80s, and the '70s (maybe even the '60s, too). Will the interesting fender flares from the 2007-2009 Chevy Silverado stay? Ancillary models like the Chevy Avalanche, and compact trucks like the Chevy Colorado, are the appropriate place for design bravado. These trucks are less grounded in (or stuck in?) tradition and can showcase the design talents in Detroit. The Chevy Silverado probably will not feature a sloping grille, or car-like headlight clusters, or anything too radical. If you change the truck too much, you'll anger the loyalists; if you don't change enough, you'll lose the guys who want the best truck, or the younger guys who haven't found their brand yet. I just hope Chevy gets it right.

New front-end designs, available heated/cooled seats (LTZ models) and a special White Diamond Edition enhance appearance and comfort, and a new navigation radio delivers on connectivity. Silverado also offers segment-exclusive OnStar and SiriusXM satellite radio, as well as Bluetooth and USB connectivity – and a dealer-installed Wi-Fi system.

With the exception of Hybrid models, all Silverado 1500s now feature Trailer Sway Control and Hill Start Assist as part of the StabiliTrak electronic stability control system, enhancing performance under a variety of driving and trailering conditions

LS and LT models now feature a silver-painted lower bumper fascia that is more aerodynamic on 2WD models without tow hooks, and a new 20-inch chrome-clad aluminum wheel.
Two new interior color combinations are available: Dark Titanium/Light Titanium and Dark Cashmere/Light Cashmere.

Cruise control and a spare tire lock are now standard on all Silverado 1500 models.
Content includes a unique White Diamond Tricoat exterior color, chrome mirror caps and door handles, and body side moldings with chrome accents on LT models. The LTZ version adds the Z60 high-performance suspension package, 20-inch chrome-clad aluminum wheels, touring tires and a chrome tow hook and exhaust tip package.

Customers seeking a more rugged-looking Silverado can choose the Z71 Off-Road Appearance Package. Silverado offers a number of technical features that enhance its capability for both work and recreation, including new navigation radio. For work sites, Chevy WiFi offers instant access to online ordering sites, municipal sites with building permits and building code information and more. Silverado also offers comprehensive confidence and control features.

Chevrolet TrailBlazer

Chevrolet TrailBlazer
The TrailBlazer's strong point is its comfortable, roomy and relatively well-equipped cabin, but that can't make up for sub-par handling and cheap interior materials. The 2009 Trailblazer continues to fall short of top competitors in reliability, interior materials and -- unless you're talking about the powerful SS model -- performance. The 2009 Chevrolet TrailBlazer is available in two main trims: the base LT and the performance-driven SS. The SS is broken down into two sub-trims: the 1SS and the top of the line 3SS.

Affordable and generally competent, the latest TrailBlazer has been around since 2002 as Chevy's midsize truck-based SUV offering. An example of the traditional SUV genre, the midsize 2009 Chevy TrailBlazer has rugged truck-based underpinnings that provide a beefy towing capacity and a decent level of off-road capability. The TrailBlazer, as well as its GMC Envoy twin, should be avoided.

Body Styles, Trim Levels, and Options
The 2009 Chevrolet TrailBlazer is a midsize SUV available in four distinct trim levels: LT, 2LT, 3LT and SS. The 2LT upgrade adds automatic climate control, rear air-conditioning and audio controls, leather seating, a power driver seat, Bluetooth, heated outside mirrors and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. Stepping up to the premium TrailBlazer 3LT nets you 18-inch wheels, driver-seat memory, a power passenger seat, heated front seats, power-adjustable pedals and a Bose sound system.

The high-performance TrailBlazer SS has been streamlined into a single top-of-the-line model this year and is equipped similarly to the premium 3LT package in terms of standard and available features.

Powertrains and Performance
TrailBlazer LTs come equipped with a 4.2-liter inline-6 that generates 285 horsepower and 276 pound-feet of torque. The TrailBlazer SS boasts a 6.0-liter V8 cranking out 390 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque. For the SS, one may choose standard rear drive or an available full-time AWD system that maximizes street performance instead of off-road ability. Maximum towing capacity when properly equipped is 6,800 pounds. A 4WD TrailBlazer with the six-cylinder engine delivers an estimated 14 mpg city/20 mpg highway and 17 mpg in combined driving. An AWD TrailBlazer SS, not surprisingly, checks in considerably lower with a 12/16/13 mpg rating.

Safety
The 2009 Chevrolet TrailBlazer includes standard antilock disc brakes, stability control, OnStar and side curtain airbags. In frontal offset crash testing by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, however, the TrailBlazer received an "Acceptable" rating (the second-highest ranking on a four-point scale) for frontal offset tests but just a second-lowest "Marginal" score during side impact tests.

Driving Impressions
The 2009 Chevy TrailBlazer's standard suspension elicits mixed reviews.
The styling of the 2009 Chevrolet TrailBlazer leaves most reviewers unimpressed.
Edmunds continues on the "aging design" theme: "another major drawback is the TrailBlazer's cabin design...it looked out of date soon after this midsize SUV's debut."

Combined fuel economy for the 2010 Chevrolet Suburban ranges from about 14 mpg combined to 16 mpg combined, depending on the model and the engine. Four-wheel antilock disc brakes are standard on all Suburbans, as are stability control, GM's OnStar emergency communications system, front-seat side airbags and a three-row side curtain airbag system with a rollover sensor. Side-impact testing with the new side-impact airbags hadn't been preformed as of this writing, but last year's Suburban still earned a top five-star rating for side-impact protection.
Although the Suburban's second row is available with a power-folding feature, the third-row seats must be removed manually to optimize cargo space.

2010 Chevrolet Avalanche

Chevrolet Avalanche
the 2010 Chevrolet Avalanche is refined and capable, while delivering a smooth ride and gobs of towing power (up to 8,100 pounds). For a detailed review of this vehicle, consult our page on the 2009 Chevrolet Avalanche.

The 2010 Avalanche loses its available 6-liter V8 engine, dropping it down to a single powertrain -- a 310-horsepower, 5.3-liter flex-fuel V8 that also gains Active Fuel Management cylinder deactivation.

The 2010 Chevrolet Avalanche gets a couple of changes. The 2010 Chevrolet Avalanche reflects GM's effort to combine a pickup with an SUV. The Avalanche takes after its pickup parent with its four-door crew-cab configuration. However, unlike a truck, its cab and bed aren't separate; instead, the Avalanche features an SUV's one-piece body.

Certainly, the full-sized Avalanche is no slouch in the size department.
Body Styles, Trim Levels, and Options
The 2010 Chevrolet Avalanche is a full-size crew-cab pickup with a removable rear window and exclusive midgate. The basic LS features a composite cargo bed, a removable three-piece cargo cover, full power accessories, air-conditioning, a front 40/20/40-split bench seat with center storage, a power driver seat, basic OnStar capability and a single-CD stereo with an auxiliary jack, USB port and satellite radio.

The top-drawer LTZ offers standard 20-inch wheels, a navigation system, an adaptive suspension, heated and ventilated leather seats, a rearview camera, integrated turn-signal mirrors and an automatic-dimming rearview mirror. Many of these upper-trim-level features are available as options on the lower trims.

The 2010 Chevrolet Avalanche is available with either two-wheel drive (2WD) or four-wheel drive (4WD). The standard setup for 4WD models this year is a single-speed transfer case; a more traditional two-speed transfer case (with low-range gearing) is optional.

A properly equipped 2WD Avalanche can tow up to 8,100 pounds. Standard Avalanche safety equipment includes antilock disc brakes, stability control, GM's OnStar emergency communications system and a full-length side curtain airbag system with a rollover sensor. With bucket seats, the Avalanche seats five, but it can carry up to six passengers when equipped with the split-bench front seat.

With the midgate up, the Avalanche's cargo bed is 5-feet-3-inches long; drop the midgate and slide the rear seats forward and the bed grows to over 8 feet.

It's GM's Transformer truck-since 2002 the Chevrolet Avalanche has taken the full-size pickup for an interesting ride by offering a flexible cabin and bed that trade places when needed. "The previous Avalanche's body cladding is gone, replaced with integrated rocker panels and bumpers," Cars.com says. Trim and with a bit of the off-roading look built into the sail panels behind the cabin windows, the Avalanche has a nicely brief truck bed, pronounced fenders, and a big twin-grille front end that shares genes with the noses on the new Chevrolet Malibu and Traverse. Cars.com contends the Chevrolet Avalanche 2010 "closely resembles the 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe up front, though with an overall length of 221 inches it's nearly as long as Chevrolet's full-size Suburban SUV."

ForbesAutos simply reports that the 2010 Chevy Avalanche's "nice two-tone interior is crafted from high-quality materials," while Car and Driver pays a halfhearted compliment to the "decent interior."

2004 Chevrolet Blazer

Chevrolet Blazer
The Chevrolet Blazer was one of the most popular SUVs for five consecutive decades, though its name was shared by two completely unrelated model lines. Chevrolet first started affixing the "K5 Blazer" designation to two-door convertible SUV versions of its big trucks starting in 1969.
Chevy continued to produce full-size, two-door Blazers through 1994, after which it rechristened these vehicles with the now-current Tahoe name.

As an inexpensive choice for a small or midsize SUV, a second-generation Chevy Blazer might be worth a look. Most Recent Chevrolet Blazer
The second-generation Chevrolet Blazer was produced from 1995 to 2005. (Consumers should note that four-door Blazers from this era are unrelated to the superseding TrailBlazer that arrived for '02.)

The second-gen Chevy Blazer's mechanicals were largely consistent throughout its lifetime. Rear-wheel drive (2WD) and four-wheel drive were offered.
The Blazer initially came in three trim lines: base, LS and LT. In model year 2001 the Blazer Xtreme arrived. This 2WD, two-door model had a low-riding sport suspension, deep-dish wheels, a monochromatic exterior and tinted windows.

Past Chevrolet Blazer models
The original Chevrolet S-10 Blazer was produced from 1983 to 1994. The S-10 Blazer's first big improvement came in 1988 when it gained an optional 4.3-liter V6 with 160 hp. The Chevrolet S-10 Blazer's second major improvement came in 1991 when Chevy introduced a four-door version based on a slightly longer body.

TheChevrolet Blazer comes in two-door and four-door LS forms, as well as a two-door Xtreme model. Four-door Blazers can have optional Autotrac four-wheel drive and optional steering-wheel radio controls. Exterior
The four-door Chevy Blazer rides a 107-inch wheelbase and measures 183.3 inches long overall — that’s 6.5 inches longer in both dimensions than the two-door model. Four-door Blazers have split front and rear bench seats for a six-passenger capacity. Four-door Blazers have a roomier rear seat and more cargo space than the two-door versions. A floor-mounted automatic-transmission gearshift lever is standard in two-door Blazers. A standard five-speed manual and optional four-speed-automatic transmission are available on two-door models; the automatic is standard on four-door models. Two four-wheel-drive systems are available.

While it’s not luxuriously equipped, it covers the basics with a 190 horsepower V6 under the hood, a standard 5-speed manual transmission (with a 4-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission as an option) and a nice list of equipment that includes air conditioning, cruise control and power seats.

2011 Chevrolet Traverse Reviews

The 2011 Chevrolet Traverse. The Chevrolet Traverse won’t help you traverse rugged, barren landscapes, but it will comfortably haul up to eight people in style.

While its name may conjure up images of rocky hills and desert valleys, the 2011 Chevrolet Traverse, like most affordable midsize SUVs, is a crossover that’s all about getting large families around town in style. While the Traverse is a good all-around crossover, reviewers are particularly excited about its standard third-row seat, which seats adults comfortably.  The 2011 Chevrolet Traverse was named The Best Midsize Crossover for the Money by U.S. News and World Report and TrueCar.com.

Other SUVs to Consider
Because the Chevrolet Traverse competes in a large and competitive class, you can find other options that cost less.  However, it’s very tough to find a competitor that’s as well-rounded as the Traverse.
The Ford Flex gives the Traverse some stiff competition when it comes to style and interior comfort.  The Traverse shares a platform with the GMC Acadia and Buick Enclave.

Fleet vehicles--which is what rental cars are--are often of low trim level or (at the very least) lack any optional equipment. This means no navigation, no premium audio, and no advanced safety features. For example, our Traverse was built without GM's OnStar telematics system, which means no Automatic Crash Response, Emergency Services, Roadside Assistance, Turn-by-Turn Navigation, or Hands Free Calling.
Retail purchasers of the Traverse are able to spec DVD-based navigation with USB/iPod integration, a 10-speaker Bose premium audio system, and flip-down rear seat DVD entertainment. Bluetooth hands-free calling isn't standard, but can be added as an option or included in one of the higher trim level packages.
Our 1LT trim model featured a rear-park assist feature that uses an ultrasonic distance sensor that beeps with increasing intensity as you approach an obstruction while in reverse. A better solution is the Traverse's available rear view camera, which displays through a small LCD behind the rear view mirror.

A vehicle the size of the Traverse should be able to haul people and bulky items, and fortunately the SUV excels in that respect. Available in seven- or eight-passenger configurations, the Traverse features a third-row bench seat that, while a bit cramped for adults, should fit up to three children with ease. The third row folds flat with a single pull, doubling the rear cargo.

Exterior
The Traverse sports the same stacked grille as the redesigned Chevy Malibu. Exterior features include:
Standard 17-inch wheels, with 18- or 20-inch wheels for uplevel models
Four-wheel-independent suspension
Interior
Like its siblings, the Traverse's interior has bright gauges and plenty of beveled plastics. Interior features include:
Standard cloth seats with optional leather
Optional heated and cooled seats
Optional navigation system
281-hp, 3.6-liter V-6
Standard front-wheel drive, optional all-wheel drive
Safety
Safety features include:
Standard front and side-impact airbags, plus side curtain airbags for all three rows

2011 Chevy Silverado 1500 Review

2011 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and Silverado Hybrid are full-size trucks, seemingly built to suit every possible type of truck user. Buyers can choose from two interior designs, four gas engines, one gas-electric drivetrain, two automatic transmissions, one two-mode hybrid transmission, and three cab styles, with bed sizes ranging from 5'8" on Crew Cabs and Hybrids; 6'6" on all versions except the Hybrid; and 8' on all versions except the Hybrid.

The 2011 Chevrolet Silverado definitely isn't behind the curve with respect to its interior or appointments. In either the Silverado 1500 or the Silverado Hybrid, there's ample space in front, though the seats could be more comfortable and supportive for longer trips. Stadium-style rear seat on Crew Cabs has a 60/40-split design and can be folded up for more cargo space. The Silverado comes in everything from basic work-truck form, priced in the low twenties, up to fully leather-lined luxury-loaded Hybrid versions that approach $50k. Most Silverado audio systems now include USB connectivity, and for 2011, the Silverado's OnStar system has been updated to version 9.0, now including automatic crash response, crisis assist, and stolen vehicle slowdown, with a one-year subscription to the Safe and Sound plan.

The Chevy Silverado is designed to offer a smooth ride and confident handling while delivering superior capability and power. Silverado was last redesigned for 2007. The base engine is a 4.3-liter V6 (195 hp/260 lb-ft of torque) with a four-speed automatic, offered only on Regular Cabs and 2WD Extended Cab models with the standard bed. The 4.8-liter V8 (302 hp/305 lb-ft of torque) and four-speed automatic are standard on Crew Cab and 4WD Extended Cab models with the standard bed, and on many LT models.

The top engine is a 6.2-liter V8 (403 hp/417 lb-ft of torque) available on Extended Cab and Crew Cab models; it uses the six-speed automatic. (Silverado HD models are covered in a separate New Car Test Drive review.)

XFE versions feature aerodynamic upgrades in the form of a soft bed cover and extended front air dam, plus aluminum wheels (including the spare) and lower front suspension arms, locking rear differential, and low rolling resistance tires. A trailering package is standard so XFE models can tow up to 7,000 pounds.
EPA ratings are 21/22 mpg. Tow ratings are available to 6100 pounds, and maximum payload is in the 1,400-pound range.

For 2011, Silverado gets few changes. The 2011 Chevy Silverado is available in four trim levels: WT, LS, LT, and LTZ. Packages often upgrade amenities without upgrading engines or body styles.

Silverado WT ($20,850) is a basic work truck that comes with a driver information center, AM/FM/XM stereo, 40/20/40 split-bench, vinyl-covered front seat, dual glove boxes, two auxiliary power outlets, tire pressure monitoring system, OnStar and a four-speed automatic transmission. Silverado LT ($26,810 for Regular Cab, 2WD) adds a cloth-covered front seat with lockable storage under the seat, a CD player and MP3 compatibility, power windows/locks/mirrors, remote keyless entry, auto-dimming rearview mirror with compass and outside temperature displays, chrome front bumper and 17-inch styled steel wheels, and power folding and heated exterior mirrors. LT models can be upgraded with premium cloth front bucket seats with six-way power adjustment, dual-zone automatic temperature controls, audio controls mounted on the steering wheel, fog lamps, aluminum wheels, chromed bumper, and a spare tire lock.

Silverado LTZ ($35,280 for Extended Cab, 2WD) adds heavy-duty trailering equipment, an automatic locking rear differential, body-colored bumpers, reclining and heated leather front seats with 12-way power, an in-dash six-CD changer with Bose speakers, 18-inch wheels, turn signal indicators in the exterior rearview mirrors, and heated windshield washers.

Extended Cab and Crew Cab models have back seats and windows in the side doors that power down. The Extended Cab has rear access doors hinged at the rear that open to 170 degrees to provide full access to the rear seating area. The Extended Cab also offers a short (5-foot, 8-inch) bed. The short bed (5-foot, 8-inch) is the only bed available on the Crew Cab.

Among them: A power sliding sunroof ($995), a power sliding rear window ($250), rear-seat entertainment system ($1,480), and AM/FM with navigation system ($2,250). Options on lesser models include the locking differential ($325) and various levels of towing packages.
Safety features on all Silverado models include dual front airbags, anti-lock brakes, tire-pressure monitoring system, side-curtain airbags, and StabiliTrak electronic stability control with rollover mitigation technology.
The front bumper incorporates rectangular fog lights.

Likewise, the rear quarter panels are punctuated by large faired wheel wells.
The Silverado benefits from a rear axle design featuring shock absorbers mounted outboard and more upright for better dynamic control than that of the previous-generation models.

Interior
The Silverado WT, LS and LT come with what Chevrolet calls the pure pickup interior while the LTZ features a more luxurious interior.

This interior features large switchgear controls and interior door handles designed to be easily manipulated even while wearing bulky gloves.

Extended Cab models feature stadium-style seating with an elevated view for those sitting in the second row. Both the Extended Cab and Crew Cab versions offer plenty of rear legroom.

Driving Impression
Suspension choice is key to the driving characteristics of the Chevy Silverado. The Silverado benefits from good brakes. Drivers who tow will appreciate the optional integrated brake controller like that used on the Silverado heavy-duty trucks. Towing capacities range as high as 10,700 pounds with the NHT package. Maximum tow ratings for other models are in the 8,000-8,900 pound range (Hybrid excepted).
