2007 Toyota 4Runner midsize SUV

Auto reviewers generally agree that the 2007 Toyota 4Runner offers a reliable on road and off road package for a comparatively reasonable price. Introduced in 2003, the 4Runner's current model represents the vehicle's fourth generation. The 4Runner is rock solid, right sized, a breeze to drive and park.The Washington Post finds that, The 4Runner is excellent. Kelley Blue Book speaks highly of the 4Runner's value, commenting, "In the volatile world of SUV resale values, the 4Runner continually outperforms the competition. The Toyota 4Runner has three available trims: the base SR5, the Sport Edition and the top of the line Limited.

Active safety features including ABS, EBD, Brake Assist, traction control, and electronic stability control are all standard.

The 2007 Toyota 4Runner carries over with no changes from 2006.You can't truly appreciate the 4Runner until you drive over rugged terrain. Inside, the 4Runner is roomy and comfortable. Bluetooth technology is available as an option as is a factory installed rear seat DVD entertainment system.

The 2007 Toyota 4Runner comes in three trim levels: SR5, Sport Edition, and Limited. Each is available with the V6 or V8, with two wheel drive (2WD) or four wheel drive (4WD). The SR5 V8 2WD  and 4WD V8  models are similarly equipped and get power adjustable front seats.

The Limited V6 2WD  and 4WD  are upgraded with leather upholstery, dual zone automatic climate control, heated front seats with memory functions, black wood grain interior trim, premium stereo with 6CD changer, HomeLink universal garage door opener, auto dimming inside mirror, engine immobilizer, automatic headlamps, a cargo handling system, and 18 inch aluminum wheels. Limited V8 2WD  and 4WD  list the same standard equipment. Limited models ride on the standard suspension, but V8 4WD models can be ordered with a rear auto leveling air suspension combined with the X REAS suspension .

Safety features that come standard on all models include Vehicle Stability Control , traction control, anti lock brakes (ABS), Electronic Brake force Distribution ( and Brake Assist. All models come with Hill start Assist Control , while 4WD units add Downhill Assist Control .

Options include a navigation system, a rear seat DVD entertainment system, a premium JBL audio system and a third row seat.

The Toyota 4Runner is available with rear  or four wheel drive and one of two engines. All Toyota 4Runner models come with antilock disc brakes and stability control . The Toyota 4Runner offers roomy quarters for four to five passengers and maybe a few kids if you opt for the 50/50 third row seat. Maximum cargo capacity is 75 cubic feet, which trails behind most of the 4Runner's midsize competitors.

Both engines move the 4Runner out quickly. When driven on pavement, the 2007 Toyota 4Runner delivers a smooth, controlled ride, and handling around turns is surprisingly tight and responsive for a traditional body on frame sport ute.
